Party In White :: Mar 23-25 ’15
When we last left the mountain, snow cats lined up in anticipation of something and lift riders discussed the possibility of fresh snow by morning, a rarity in what has been by most measures one of the driest, warmest winters in the books.
Monday March 23
Sure enough, the clouds gave out the goodies. After a morning of Park City drizzle, it’s off to Canyons for a look-see.

Clearly, there’s something here.

Evergreens were only green on Saturday.

Like back in the good old days.

Tuesday Mar 24
SLC crack of dawn; Jonesy departs in sixty.

Ninety minutes later at Canyons; another five to seven.

Happy ski pics on fresh white.

Wednesday March 25
Lone rider on Orange Bubble over three new inches at Canyons.

Later, back at PCMR, where Town Lift crosses over Payday.

It’s a monoski, explains Leif (not his real name), who’s been on it since his teen years.

Pole plant, then out. Five-day forecast says 60s and sun. Thanks for the nice surprise, skies.
