Amazing Canyons

Bears Ears National Monument is huge, encompassing more than 1.3 million acres of Utah running from Moab to Mexican Hat and from Monticello to Lake Powell.  Huuuge!  And it’s been in the news lately, what with local politicians, most notably Gov. Gary Herbert, petitioning the Trump administration to rescind the National Monument designation given to the land just last December by Pres. Barack Obama.

A week in Bears Ears is enough to get a taste of its topographical and anthropological splendors, but only as an appetizer to the next visit.
